Common questions
How do I install Cathora as an app?
On iPhone or iPad, download Cathora from the App Store, or open app.cathora.com in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. On Android, get it from Google Play, or open app.cathora.com in Chrome and tap “Install app”. On a computer, Chrome and Edge show an install icon in the address bar. Step-by-step help is on the install page.
How do I turn reminders on or off?
Open Settings → Reminders. Switch reminders on for this device (your phone or browser will ask permission), then choose what you’d like: the Angelus, the Divine Mercy hour, morning and night prayer, novena days, feasts and more, with quiet hours if you like. On iPhone, web reminders need Cathora added to your Home Screen first. To stop them, switch them off there or in your phone’s notification settings.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Privacy and data → Delete my account, then type DELETE. Everything is deleted straight away. You can also ask by email; see how to delete your account.
Who can see my journal, intentions and prayers?
Only you. Your journal and personal prayers are encrypted before they are stored, intentions are private unless you share each one, and Confession notes never leave your device. Cathora’s staff tools never show them. The Privacy Policy explains everything we keep.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Settings → Privacy and data → Export my data downloads a file of everything Cathora’s servers hold for you.
How do I report a post or block someone?
Tap the “…” menu on any post, comment, testimony, shared intention or conversation, or the Report and Block buttons on a member’s profile. Reports are private and reviewed promptly. Blocking hides that member’s content from you and stops messages between you. See the Community Guidelines.
I forgot my password.
During the beta, email [email protected] from your account’s email address and we’ll help you reset it. Once signed in, you can change your password in Settings → Account and sign-in.
Is Cathora free?
Yes. Cathora is free during the family beta.
